Problems to access facebook & google after flash player 12 update

$

I just installed the latest version of Flash player 12.0.0.77 on my mac, running osx 10.9.2, but since then, whenever I try to visit a facebook page , youtube page or google search page I get stuck on an error message saying

WARNING! Your Flash Player may be out of date. Please update to continue

I uninstalled the flash player, reinstalled it, restarted the computer & software several times, but still no joy.
I get the same problem in both Firefox (27.0.1) & Safari (Version 7.0.2) browsers. Very frustrating !

Flashplayer seems to be enabled in both softwares, so I cannot figure out where the problem lies.

Anyone got any clever ideas what i should try next ?

Flash crashes Windows 7 Pro 64 bit IE11. Lenovo X301 laptop with Intel Graphics. Confirmed it happen

My company has several Lenovo X301 laptops with Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) running IE11. I load clean versions of Flash onto these laptops (latest version 12.0.0.77) and every single one of these laptops crashes when opening IE11.

One thing I noticed when I used the help.adobe.com site. Using IE11, the box which "dynamically displays the following information" shows the correct version of Flash player and OS but the browser says "None". If I run Chrome, it says the correct Flash version but the OS says "Windows 7 (32 bit) and the browser correctly says "Google Chrome".

The crash report for IE11, module name is Flash32_12_0_0_77.ocx.

1. Why is the program unable to determine the correct browser?

2. Why does it appear that a 64 bit program is trying to use a 32 bit plug-in?

Any ideas?

Re: Flash Player using high CPU constantly and heating system

Hi ... I use admin account only to install new software or games ... for all other uses I log in as an ordinary account

But even when logged in with admin account the same prb persists ... cause of this flash player prb I have even stopped playing  games on FB & Zynga ...

For this flash player problem I even took it to acer service center and since I have extended service warranty the engineers there ran acomplete check on ram, hdd, graphic card and they also did a complete fresh install of win 7 home premium 64 bit edition. They even completely serviced it, cleaned it and applied new thermal paste ...  but even they were baffled that my system can stand up to high intensity graphic games running from HDD or DVD rom or USB pen drive but if I try to run graphic flash player games for long ie castleville or watch a long movie on you tube then flash player can single handedly cause CPU usage to be constantly high leading to system getting heated up.

Guess will just have to be content without flash ... but some sites require flash player to be enabled and therein lies the problem

1. "User-Agent Strings"

Microsoft "rewrote" the User-Agent Strings for the abomination they call their latest and greatest browser. User-Agent Strings are what websites use to identify the browser you're using and provide the proper content for it's browser engine, like ActiveX stuff, and Flash or HTML5 video. Thanks to the geniuses in Redmond, WA, the User-Agent Strings for IE11 (which has a Trident engine), ID it as either "Gecko" (Firefox) or "Webkit" (Chrome). Problem is: when the site the directs to the content for one of these two engines, the Trident engine in IE can't intepret it and the site then sees IE as an "unidentified" browser.Microsoft has no immediate plans to "fix" the mess they've created.

2. Chrome is a 32 bit browser, and will identify as such, including the plug-ins in it.

1.jpg

IE uses the plug-in from the SyWOW64 folder (WOW=Windows On WIndows - which runs 32 bit apps in the 64 bit environment)

That only answers part of the issue... identification. Unfortunately this doesn't resolve the crash issue. But thanks for clearing some of this up!

Flash player keeps making a constant plopping noice

Hello,

I have an issue with Adobe Flash Player.

Today I was watching a youtube video like normal when all of a sudden, something on my pc started making a weird plopping sound. I didn't know where it came from, restarted the computer and it stopped... untill I opened firefox and went to youtube.

Confused, I started searching for the sound and noticed in the sound mixer that the Flash Player was making the sound, even with no video's or anything playing. I restart the pc again and the same thing happened.

I searched the internet far ans wide and the only solution I found was to disable Flash Player (which I did and it did work but that's no way to live) or to use a earlier Flash version. Again, I tried that. I completely deleted my currend version and installed Flash Player 11.7. And it worked! for about 5 minutes before the irritating sound started again. Now I'm at a complete loss of what to do.

The sound happens on every video or website that uses flash and is AMAZINGLY ANNOYING. It's driving me insane.

So I come here, begging for help. If anyone knows a solution, please tell! I would be forever greatfull!

You're infected with adware.

It uses Flash to make the noises.

Why am I being told to update Flash Player?

Why am I being told to update Flash Player? I have the latest version that, according to Adobe's test page, is working fine. This update request is preventing me from accessing certain sites such as Facebook and YouTube.

When I clicked on the "Adobe update page" that was given to me by Facebook, my antivirus said it was a blocked site and potentially dangerous.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player numerous times. Those sites work for a short time and then I cannot access them.

What can I do?

Help please.

DL

***UPDATE***

I have now noticed that I am unable to access Facebook on my iPod Touch and my BlackBerry PlayBook.

http://helpx.adobe.com/es/flash-player/kb/flash-player-games-video-or. html

pero el paso 7 no puedo hacerlo. La caja de la parte de arriba no se ve, está en blanco.

¿Qué puedo hacer?

Hello, I have a portable Sony which has an original completely clean installation. I have installed the last version of flash player, as well as Schokwave player. The installation of flash player realizes it correctly, but when the step loads 3, realizes the load of the page but the content flash is not seen (it remains in white).

If I meet on the right button it allows me to enter the global configuration ... but in " configuration ... " I cannot enter. The content of the pages with flash I cannot see it it remains in white. (Chat terra, videoes, etc ...). I have tried with google chrome and the content is seen perfectly. I have realized the steps of the following page:

But the step 7 I cannot do it. The box of the part of above is not seen, is in white.

flash video crashing in IE 11, windows 8.1

I have problem with flash video in IE 11, windows 8.1. I think its definitly caused by an update or something in the last week or so. My system is newly installed not even a month old. First few weeks after the install was fine and now i would be lucky to play a flash video (anywhere, youtube, cbs...) for more than 10 minutes. the majority of the crashing happens within one or two minutes of playing: After sometime into the video, sound would be lost or other times entire video would freeze and sometime even cause IE to crash. Only way to revive is to close IE and reopen.

I am rather certain that it is Flash's problem because when sound happens to be lost mid-stream, I can still open a mp3 and my system can play that just fine. When video freezes IE it self is still very muchly functional, and I have no problem doing other things...such as typing this reply...

My system:

WIndows 8.1 64bit Pro, CPU: i7-3770K, GPU: EVGA nVidia GeForce GTX 560Ti, Sound: Asus p8z77ws on board sound

IE 11.0.9600.16518 update 11.0.3 (KB2909921)

Flash: 12.0.0.77

Other plugins  (i think unrelated but i'll list them anyway)

Java: 7.0.510.13

Silverlight: 5.1.30214.0

Windows Media Player: 12.0.9600.16384

I have no other Add-ons loaded as i said my system is new...

Please if anyone from the community could help, or even from Adobe

BTW...i have done all of the suggested steps on the Adobe flash website...clean install...clear cache...increase cache...nothing worked...

Thanks

Problem is:

Flash Player for IE11 (which is the worst browser ever developed - BAR NONE) is a Microsoft product, when it comes right down to it.
Adobe writes the base code and yes, they do collaborate on updates for it, but the gang in Redmond alter the plug-in and add "proprietary" code before embedding it, and at that point it's "their baby".

There are two (2) registry keys - 1 for 32 bit IE and the other for 64 bit IE, as well as a KB patch that prevent all but the most experienced Windows users from ever touching the Flash Player plug-in for IE. So there's NO WAY you could have done a clean install of the ActiveX plug-in in Windows 8. Unless you're an uber-geek, you can only update it through Windows Update.

WIn 8 is an abomination and IE11 made it worse. IE has always been the "problem child" of browsers, failing to handle CSS, Javascript, some PHP and most design "tweaks" that good webmasters can use with other browsers, trouble free.

I have IE8 on XP, 9 on VIsta, 11 on 7, 10 on 8 and 11 on 8.1... but they're all for testing only. I'd have to be out of my mind to ever think of using IE as my primary browser. ActiveX controls have to be disabled formost stuff and that opens millions of security holes in IE.

You've got a good video card and a decent sound card. It's a shame to waste them on a pile of garbage like IE, just because it came with Windows.

Since there has NEVER BEEN a Flash Player for iOS (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) and there has NEVER BEEN a Flash Player for Blackberry... Neither of those can possibly be Flash related... at all.

As to the computer issue, we need to know what OS and browser you use or it's 100% guesswork.
