Windows 7, Mike.
Karen
Same problem here:
- x86 Family 15 Model 6 Stepping 5 GenuineIntel ~3000 Mhz.
- Intel 82945G Express Chipset Family/128MB
- 4gb RAM
- Windows XP
The problem is obvious on pages with Flash ads, Youtube (auto resolution), etc. I have the same problem with IE 8, so I am guessing, it is not related to the browser.
Ordinary pages with Flash ads keeps the CPU at 15%, at least, when not visible; when visible it oscillates between 15% to 90%.
In Youtube the CPU goes to 80% when the video is visible and decreases to 20% when not visible, but it spikes to 30%.
My other I7 computer has no problem.
Adobe, I hope you will come with a solution. An algorithm should not rely on computer's power.
I have recently downgraded my MacBook Pro operating system from Maverick to Mac OS X 10.6.8 to function with Adobe CS3 software. I am unable to view YouTube videos with Adobe Flash. Please advise as to how this issue can be corrected.

I'm curious Karen,
HOW and WHY do you have IE7, which predates Windows 7 by about four years?
Did you uninstall IE9 that came with Win 7 and manually install IE7?
You're infected, most likely with a browser hack.
Run a thorough malware scan, and give TDSSKiller™ from Kaspersky® a shot at finding and removing whatever it is.
Use the Flash Player Uninstaller
You may need to install it again first though.
I was having the green screen problem which did not go away after updating video drivers that 'did not' need updating; so, I decided to update the audio drivers, which 'did' need updating; I have not seen a green screen since; I think the events are connected but I do not know for sure; I have an AMD based HP Pavillion; so, in addition to the video drivers, I would suggest updating the audio drivers as well;
I am encountering an issue with Google Chrome and Flash Player 12.0.0.77.
I have a SWF file set up like a tutorial, with multiple pages that are each on their own frame. A navigation button at the bottom triggers a gotoAndStop on MouseEvent.CLICK to branch to the next 'page'.
It happens inconsistently, but on occasion, when I click the navigation button and do NOT MOVE THE MOUSE, the gotoAndStop does not fire. At least, it does not seem to fire. The screen continues displaying what it was displaying. On occasion this lasts ~5-15 seconds, after which the screen displays the content properly from the new frame (note that I have not moved the mouse or provided ANY user interaction during this time).
When I am caught in one of these refresh loops (waiting for the screen to change), if I move the mouse off or onto a portion of the screen where there is a screen element that interacts with the mouse, then the whole screen instantly refreshes to display what it should. If I change the window dimensions or right click and select Zoom In, the whole screen also refreshes properly at this time.
I have tested the same content in Firefox and IE versions of the Flash Player and have NEVER encountered this issue.
I'm hoping somebody can help, because this is a major responsive issue with our software when users click a button to branch to another 'page' and the player just sits there. We most certainly cannot tell users to move the mouse wildly if the screen isn't changing in order to display the new page properly.
Thanks!
I was having the green screen problem which did not go away after updating video drivers that 'did not' need updating; so, I decided to update the audio drivers (AMD Hi-DEF Audio Device) which 'did' need updating; I have not seen a green screen since; I think the events are connected but I do not know for sure; I have an AMD based HP Pavillion (IE11, W8.1, 64-bit); so, in addition to the video drivers, I would suggest updating the audio drivers as well;
We shortly I wanted to record something on http://www.musipedia.org/microphone.html so it asked me to allow usage of adobe flash player and when I wanted to record sound he didn't do it so i got to settings and checked microphone it was there and it was set on wright one os i tried to clap in front of him but chart didn't move. Next I went to audio setting on windows to check it and there microphone works fine. So my question is what is wrong why flash player won't record sound from mic? tnx in advance for replies.

Thanx for your reply, Mike, but videos on weather.com still don't play after deleting the Flash Player cache. As I said earlier, they play on IE but not on Firefox. This may be an issue to resolve with Mozilla???
It likely happens with many other sites, but you are unaware because you don't visit them.
I still maintain that a driver update (check video and sound drivers) is the best solution. If they're reinstalled/updated and this one site still gives you trouble, it couldbe a firewall or connectivity issue.
Use the Flash Player Uninstaller
Reinstall BOTH Flash Player plug-ins:
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Also, try Resetting Firefox
Chrome has its own proprietary plug-in. Called "PepperFlash", it's independent of the ActiveX for IE and standard plug-in for Firefox. Also, where the others are NPAPI, PepperFlash is PPAPI, which may have something to do with it. You can try disabling the PepperFlash, which will force Chrome to "fall back" on the standard plug-in that Firefox also uses.
As illustrated, type "chrome://plugins" in the address bar, then disable the PepperFlash plugin in the list.
That'll fix it for your installation most likely, but is this something you're putting up on a server?
I'm unsure what you're asking about.
Unfamiliar with wowow.com, and is the "soundbox" hardware or something related to wowow.com?
There IS NO PASSWORD required to download Flash Player:
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Flash Player Plug-in (Mac OS X)
You DO need your OS administrator password to INSTALL Flash Player or ANY software.
Give the whole shootin' macth the "clean install":
Download the following:
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Also, download these:
Shockwave Player 112 FULL installer (ther browsers)
You'll need to install Shockwave with the FULL installer for IE too, but there isn't a direct download for it. You'll need to go to: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/otherversions/using IE AFTER everything else is done.
Save all the files and close your browser.
Run the uninstallers first (both of them)
Go to: C/Windows/System32
Delete the Macromed folder.
Go to: C/Windows/SysWOW64
Delete the Macromed folder.
Open your Registry Editor (Start>Run or press the Windows key + R and type 'regedit' [minus the quotes] and click OK)
In the Registry Editor, go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE
Delete the Macromedia folder (Right click and choose "Delete").
Go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software and delete the Macromedia folder there too.
Close the Registry Editor and empty your recycle bin.
Run the Flash Player installers, and then the Shockwave FULL installer you downloaded.
Lastly, open IE and go to: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/otherversions/ to download and install the Shockwave FULL installer for ActiveX (IE).
What Flash Player version do you have currently installed?
